SO MANY KIDZ IN SCHOOL HAVE BRACELETS CALLED “Silly Bandz”. They are made of rubber and are bracelets that can be in different shapes, like animals, shapes, symbols, and more!!! They look really cool on people’s hands.

Since toys or accessories become so popular, it has to start from someone! I showed my science teacher the silly bandz, and he asked me and my friend if we knew what friendship pins were. We didn’t know, so he explained and told me that I should try to make some. I started and gave some out, and believe it or not, they’re becoming popular again!

Don’t be worried or scared to start middle school! Usually middle schools start in sixth grade, and end in eighth, but that depends on where you live. If you don’t have a locker already, now you will get the chance of having one! Express yourself, by decorating your locker anyway you want, for example; pretty magnets, pictures, mirrors, magnetic pencil cases, locker wallpapers, baseball cards, and anything else! Some middle schools have two schools coming in to it, and it is great to meet new friends. By seventh grade, you will be able to figure out who your friends are and who isn’t, but it’s cool to have lots of friends too! You will probably get more homework than in elementary school, and more tests to study for. You will have about five minutes in between classes to get to your locker, and use that time wisely, or you will end up marked late, or un-prepared. When I started middle school I had binders with pencil cases, looseleaf, a folder, and supplies in the pencil cases. This was for each subject. All of my friends would ask, “Why do u have a huge binder?” I would say, “It’s more organized for me!”. It truly is! Don’t worry if you are not in any classes with your best friends, because middle school is very social, and you could see your friends in the hallway, and at lunch. There is no more snack time in middle school, so bring enough food to lunch. GOOD LUCK, PEOPLE !!!!!

Happy New year to everyone! I just got back from a cruise! It was a Carnival Cruise called the Carnival Freedom. I went there for my Grandparents’ 50th Anniversary! My whole family on my Dad’s side was there! We had a thing at Scott’s Piano Bar, for my Grandparents, and we all made a scrap book page about ourselves before the cruise and my aunt put them into the book, and gave them it. We each said a speech to them and the adults had champagne. It was nice.

The Carnival Freedom is decorated, so that each room or are is from a different time period. Like, there was a 70’s Disco room, The Chic Restaurant, and Scott’s Piano Bar. It was really interesting!

It went to Key West, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios (in Jamaica). Key West was okay, like a normal beach. (Remember, it’s still in Florida). Grand cayman was the best! The water was warm, the sand was really soft and nice, and the water was a turquoise color and see through like a pool. That’s where I got my hair braided. (My whole head). Oho Rios was not was I expected. Everywhere I went people tried to talk to us. It was kind of dirty there.

What Are Head lice?
Head lice are small, insects without wings, that live on the human scalp (usually on clean heads). They are about the size of a sesame seed. Head lice support themselves by sucking blood, just like mosquitoes do. However, different than mosquitoes, lice are unable to fly or jump from one person to another; they can only crawl. Children usually get head lice from head-to-head contact with other kids, but may also get them by sharing particular items like as hats, scarves, hair ties, headbands and coats. It is also a problem when elementary school kids pile their coats on the floor near the cubbies. I usually put my coat behind my chair. And for parents, remember in the beginning of the school year to check your child’s hair often!
