Happy New year to everyone! I just got back from a cruise! It was a Carnival Cruise called the Carnival Freedom. I went there for my Grandparents’ 50th Anniversary! My whole family on my Dad’s side was there! We had a thing at Scott’s Piano Bar, for my Grandparents, and we all made a scrap book page about ourselves before the cruise and my aunt put them into the book, and gave them it. We each said a speech to them and the adults had champagne. It was nice. The Carnival Freedom is decorated, so that each room or are is from a different time period. Like, there was a 70’s Disco room, The Chic Restaurant, and Scott’s Piano Bar. It was really interesting! It went to Key West, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios (in Jamaica). Key West was okay, like a normal beach. (Remember, it’s still in Florida). Grand cayman was the best! The water was warm, the sand was really soft and nice, and the water was a turquoise color and see through like a pool. That’s where I got my hair braided. (My whole head). Oho Rios was not was I expected. Everywhere I went people tried to talk to us. It was kind of dirty there. TTYL ♡

Yesterday, my class took the New York Social Studies DBQ test. I was really nervous. We practiced a lot though. When we had to practice doing the essay part, most of us complained. The practicing really helped! I was so surprised that I finished on time! At least we don’t have to worry about the testing anymore; well at least until eighth grade!
I’m Glad It’s Over With! Don’t forget to leave a comment.

I was never really a big fan of Aly & AJ, but I love this song.

In my school, we are having a student council for the first time. The fifth graders can run for president and vice president. The fourth graders can run for treasurer or secretary. The third graders do their own little class president. I think this was a very good idea to have our own political system because we are close to choosing our own president for the country. This is good for us kids to try to experience voting. I tried to run for president but I didn’t win. I am happy for the people who might win though because I think they are responsible enough for the job. I am proud of myself for trying though.

In Yorktown Stage Camp this week, we did Peter Pan. It was lots of fun! I’m in group 5 and we got to dance and sing to the songs, “Hook’s Tarantella” (”tarantella”) and “I Gotta Crow”. When we did the tarantella we used REAL swords! Just kidding, they are plastic. We worked hard to learn the songs and dances through the week. But at the show on Friday, right when we got to camp my stomach hurt. I thought it was cause I didn’t eat breakfast so I ate some of the grapes I had in my lunchbox. NOTHING worked! The show started and my throat started hurting when I swallowed. By the second 2:00 show, I had a headache and I felt really weak so I told one of my counselors and she said to tell her when I felt like I was going to throw up or something. I did the first dance and I still felt the same. So I told her that I could not do the second dance. Then I told the Assistant Counselor. Then My head counselor said to me, “Are you sure you can’t do the dance?” Then I just did it. After we left to go home and I went to sleep. Now I feel better!
